Happy Thanksgiving Card

With Thanksgiving just two weeks away, there's still time to create a card for your loved ones. I know I'm not able to spend the day with everyone I'd like to, so making a card for them instead is a great way to show you care.

I'm so thankful for being part of such a wonderful design team, and working with such fabulous stamps from Red Rubber Designs! I used the Give Thanks stamp to make the cornucopia, inking it with brown ink onto white cardstock, and embossing it with clear embossing powder. To really make it pop, I colored it with some Distress Inks and markers, glued it to my tag, and added some ribbon.

To make the background, I sprayed some parchment paper with some mists, and dragged a piece of kraft cardstock through it. Then I dripped some orange mist from the top. Along the bottom I created a border of leaves with the Autumn Leaves stamp. To the tag and background I stamped my sentiment using Contemporary Greetings.

Since I have so much rafia and it just screams Fall to me, I glued some to the bottom of my card, and used my sewing machine to stitch the ends and all around the background. The flowers were stamped and embossed in two layers using the Pressed Flowers stamp set. Then I hand stitched some brown buttons to the centers.

For those of you that celebrate it, have a very happy Thanksgiving!
