Dude Card

Happy Thursday! Drea here, with a card for all of those surfer dudes, featuring the That Guy Unmounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs!

It's made from torn colored cardstocks, that I applied gesso to, using a palette knife to create waves. Then I went over it with some Lindy's Gang sprays, and Emerald Creek Embossing Powders, before adding beads, adhered with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel.

The starfish was embossed with the Under the Sea Unmounted Rubber Stamp, which is no longer available, but can be digitally downloaded here, @ Pickled Potpourri Designs. Thanks for stopping by!

Sew Thoughtful

I have accepted the challenge to color something every day in June.  It doesn't even have to be a full card, just spend 10 minutes or so coloring something.  I decided it would be fun to create my own patterned paper with the button in the Sew Thoughtful stamp set by Red Rubber Designs.

Once I had my patterned paper I stamped the image and die cut the top layer.  I added a horizontal line to ground the dress form then colored a few spots with a violet marker. More and more I am drawn to clean layers so I decided to go with a clean layers style versus a shabby chic or vintage style for this card.

The sentiment fits nicely in the center of the top layer with the angled edge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Relax and Fish Shaker Card

Father's Day is this Sunday, so I'm featuring the Relax and Fish Unmounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, on this shaker card that I made for my dad, colored with Distress Inks. The corrugated paper started out blue, and along with the circle, got three layers of Emerald Creek powders (Deep Sea, Cool Lagoon, and Fractured Ice), to create the beautiful shimmer and depth of color, found in a lake.

I also embossed EC Fractured Ice onto the fish, and added sequins, before sealing up my window, made from clear acetate paper.

Then I used the Tim Holtz Splatters Stencil, with Prima Marketing's Clear Gesso, sprinkled with Glass Glitter and more sequins, to mimic a splash.

Even though I made this card for Father's Day, it could also be used for other occasions, like birthdays, retirement, or just to show you care. Thanks for looking!
