Fantastic Fall

Fall IS fantastic and my favorite season of the year! So I created a spread in my art journal  featuring the Luscious Leaves Cling Mounted Rubber Stamps, and the Filled with Blessings, Give Thanks, and Autumn Swirls Unmounted Rubber Stamps from Red Rubber Designs.

In addition to the cute scarecrow from the Filled with Blessings Stamp, are the plaid and dots that I stamped randomly over two pages of my art journal using Ranger Jet Black Archival Ink. Then I adhered pieces of burlap, followed with Prima White Gesso applied to the Tim Holtz Mini Birch Stencil. Once it all dried, Magicals and sprays were next to create some beautiful autumn colors.

The rest of the stamping was embossed with Emerald Creek Onyx Frost Embossing Powder, giving it some sparkle, including all of the Luscious Leaves that I fussy-cut.

The fence stamp is also included in the Filled with Blessings Stamp Set, and the pumpkins from the Give Thanks Stamp, colored with Distress Inks, Magicals and Distress Sprays.

The title was stamped and embossed onto a torn piece of white tissue paper with the Autumn Swirls Stamp, and adhered onto the burlap with Prima Marketing Soft Matte Gel. Once it dried I colored over it with some more Magicals and sprays.

Such a fun spread to work on, using some of my favorite Fall Stamps from Red Rubber Designs

Warmest Wishes Card

Hello stampers! I'm back with a card that's fitting for the end of summer, featuring the Rays of Hope Cling Mounted Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, embossed with clear embossing powder over Distress Oxide Inks (Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade).

The background was done with Dylusion's Paints and Ranger's Zigzag Stencil. Then I stamped the black circles with the Build-A-Background Stamp. The tag and vases were cut with my Cricut Expression, and also colored with Dylusion's Paints, but with my fingers. Finally, I embossed the sentiment with the Contemporary Greetings Stamp using Emerald Creek Onyx Frost EP.

Thanks for looking!

Happy Leaf Birthday Card

Happy Thursday, stampers! I'm back with a card featuring the Happy Leaf Unmounted Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs, just in time for the upcoming season.

Wanting to experiment more with my Distress Oxide Inks, I created the background with them, in addition to some regular Distress Inks, by smooshing the inks with water onto white cardstock. Then I used the same Oxide Inks (Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, and Vintage Photo) to stamp the leaves and sentiment with the Happy Leaf Stamp, and embossed it with clear embossing powder.

Since this card is a little smaller than my usual ones, I wanted to add lots of texture, so I backed it with some burlap, and added lots of fibers, including the strands I took from the burlap to fringe the edges.

Finally, I finished it up with some hand-stitching.

Thanks for stopping by, and get the Happy Leaf Stamp, and many others at Red Rubber Designs!
