It is Paula-Kay
here on Tutorial Tuesday. Today I have a stamping technique
called Shattered
Glass to show you.
It is easy and fun
and makes a unique card.
You will need a
few supplies: inks, stamps, hydra sponge
or stipple brush, masking tape, and cardstock.
My stamps are All
Things of Nature and Give
Praise to Him.
The first step is to tear thin
strips of masking tape and apply to the card front in “glass” pieces. They can be as jagged as you desire.
Sponge or stipple the cardstock with
inks until you get the desired coverage.
Stamp your images on the cardstock
and over the masking tape.
Now you are ready to gently remove the masking tape, leaving the shattered glass effect.
I wanted my saying to be read
without a tear, so I stamped it on top
the shattered glass effect.
The bird and egg are from All
Things of Nature, and the saying is from Give
Praise to Him.
Now you can complete your card as
desired.
I added some Hemingway
Hardware and also Hemingway
patterned cardstock. The white
cardstock on which the image is stamped is mounted on a piece of brown
cardstock.
.
Here’s a close up shot of the finished card. I hope you enjoy this fun stamping technique.
