Inspirational #144 - Fall Foliage

This is Stacy hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is all about Fall Foliage!  Please create a project that features STAMPED leaves, fall trees, acorns...etc...

Here is my project based on our theme this week:

Hi, Stacy here hosting this week's Inspirational! Our theme for this week is Fall Foliage. Please create a project that features stamped leaves, fall trees, acorns, ect. 

Here's my project for this weeks challenge...

I used the following stamp sets on my layout... Luscious Leaves and Distressed Typewriter Bet.

I used one of the leaves from the Luscious Leaves stamp set to create a sheet of patterned paper for my layout. I stamped the leaf using brown ink on kraft cardstock. I then layered three pieces of patterned and matted my photo on top of them using foam tape. I then applied foam tape to adhere the patterned paper and photo mat to the layout.

I stamped the "kitty" portion of the title for this layout on a strip of white cardstock using the Distressed Typerwriter Bet stamp set with brown ink. The "sweet" portion of my title was stamped using teal distress ink. I adhered the title strip to my layout using foam tape. I then added three mini gold brads and a wood veneer feather to embellish my layout. 

I hope that you were inspired by my layout! You could even take a non-traditional approach and create an "any season" themed project using your fall foliage themed stamps like I did here with my layout. I can't wait to see what you all create!

Inspirational #143 - Stay Focused on Stamping Anything Goes

This is Lynda hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is Stay Focused on Stamping Anything Goes!  A stamped image must be the focus of your project, but the theme of your project can be anything you would like.  Please be sure to put in your write-up what you stamped on your project so ti's clear where you stamped.

Here is my project based on our theme this week:

For my card this week I started with this wonderful Let It Snow image and stamped it in black ink on white cardstock.  I then colored it lightly with my Copic markers.  I then added some Wink of Stella clear glitter pen along the snow and on the flakes.  I then added silver embossing powder along the outside edge of the image.  I then trimmed a piece of black cardstock fro my card front and embossed the edge with the same silver powder.  I completed the card by adding the small white dots on the black cardstock.

Here is my project based on our theme this week.

I used the Filled With Blessings stamp set to create this Fall card. The sentiment on the tag was done using Autumn Swirls.

I used some mists on the polka dot squares, leaves, and tag. The dots, fence, and scarecrow with the pumpkin were colored with markers. The brown paper and tag are from the Hemingway collection from Red Rubber Designs.

Inspirational #141- Monochromatic stamping

This is Lynda hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is all about Monochromatic stamping!  This week we want to see your use of stamps and a monochromatic color scheme.

A stamped image must be the focus of your project and the color scheme must be monochromatic, but the theme of your project can be anything you would like. Please be sure to write in your write-up what you stamped on your project, so that it is clear to us what is stamped.

Here is my project based on our theme this week:

I decided this week to use the Butterfly Swirls Cling Mount Stamp.  I stamped the image twice onto white cardstock.  I then decided the monochromatic color pattern for each one; deciding on purple for one and pink for the other.  I then pulled Copic markers within these two color families and colored just the butterfly image on each using those colors.  I then mounted the colored images onto coordinating cardstock to match each butterfly.
