Brick & Rose Thank You Card

Happy Thursday Stampers! Drea here with a Thank You Card showcasing some Red Rubber Designs Stamps against a brick background made with gesso and a stencil, and colored with Distress Spray Stains (Antique Linen and Vintage Photo). The texture comes from a couple of Distress Embossing Powders (Vintage Photo and Brushed Corduroy) that I added on top. Then I tore and machine stitched the side edges.

The frame was embossed in gold onto black cardstock using the Fanciful Vintage Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set. Then I did a lot of fussy-cutting and arranging with the stamped roses, using the Charcoal Flowers Cling Mounted Stamp, and coloring them with sprays and a paintbrush. To resemble the bricks on the background, I tore around the edges of the stamped Rose Wine Label and popped it up, after coloring it with sprays and paper piecing it. For even more dimension I curled up all of the flowers and leaves. The sentiment fit perfectly inside of the embossed frame, stamped with the Savvy Sayings Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set.

Finally, I used red cardstock as my card base to make the bricks stand out. Thank you for your visit, and hoping it brought you some inspiration!

Love is not just for Valentine's Day!

Hi there!  I hope you have had a great week so far.  Did you celebrate  Valentine's Day?  Did you receive or buy candy?  I always tell my husband not to get me chocolate, not because I don't like it but because I like to get it the next day on clearance!!  Sadly, I think the stores are on to me, there has been far less of a selection the last few years.

Today I am featuring a trio of cards from the Red Rubber Designs online store with lots of heart! The Little Darlins stamp set is absolutely adorable.  I had so much fun stamping with this cute set, I didn't want to quit!  Unfortunately, with a very full week, I was only able to create three cards but I have posted the rubber stamp set at the end of this post so that you can see all the cute images and sentiments that are included!

First up for all the dog lovers....I ruff you!

For all the balloon lovers....love is in the air!

For all the chocolate lovers and/or cat lovers....I love you more than chocolate or cats for that matter (and you know how much I love cats!)

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Here is a look at Little Darlins, isn't it adorable???

Valentine's Card

Valentine's Day is less than a week away, so I created a card for my husband featuring the Love & Friendship Unmounted Rubber Stamp Set from Red Rubber Designs. But I didn't stamp the main image inside of the heart, which is an adorable little cherub couple, only because it felt a little too cutesy for him. So I masked them out with some tape, leaving the heart and script. After coloring the heart red, embossed in black onto white cardstock, I embossed the script part again in white.

Then I embossed another heart in white onto black cardstock, along with the sentiment and smaller hearts that are in the set. Behind the red heart, I used the So Splattered Cling Mounted Stamp set, adding a strip of sheer ribbon.

Finally, I distressed the edges, and machine stitched around them in white for further contrast!

Thanks for looking, and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!

Gift for You

Hello there!  I hope you are having a great week!  Today I am featuring a fun Red Rubber Designs stamp set titled Gift For You.  I have oohed and ahhed over many cute shaker cards but I have put off making one myself until my sweet friend Janeen gifted acetate sheets and foam tape thereby taking away the last of my excuses!

Using my favorite technique of Distress ink and water I created the background, then I added lots of sparkling sequins and glitter ( I may or may not have overfilled my shaker!) I stamped two of the presents included in the Gift for You stamp set then dipped them in the watery ink to match the background.

The distress ink technique really works well with these cute gifts!!!!

Leave me a note and let me know if you have created a shaker card and if so what you filled it with!

Thanks for hanging out with me today, now here is a closer look at the variety of ways this stamp set can be purchased!
