To create the festive red background, I applied many layers of Candied Apple Distress Ink with water onto white cardstock, waiting for each layer to dry before adding the next. Then I used white embossing powder on the Poinsettia and rest of the stamping.

A strip of sheer ribbon, some buttons, and machine stitching to finish up this birthday card, that could easily become a holiday card by simply changing the sentiment.
