Holiday Collage Card

Red Rubber Designs has a wonderful selection of Winter & Christmas Cling Mounted Rubber Stamps, so I combined the two for my first holiday card of the season! I started by coloring my background with some Distress Inks, flicking some white spray over it, and stamping the trees with the Mountain Scenery Unmounted Rubber Stamp onto white cardstock using Burnt Umber Palette Ink.

Then I went over the mountains and trees with a light wash of white paint, embossing the snow on top with the Speckle Background Unmounted Rubber Stamp. To stamp the script and sentiment, I used the Vintage Santa Rubber Stamp Set with Cottage Ivy Memento Ink for the script, and Moulin Rouge Palette Ink for the sentiment. Then I went around my distressed edges with some machine stitching.

The reindeer was stamped with the Holiday Collages Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp onto white cardstock using Burnt Umber Palette Ink again, and colored with Distress Inks. Using some Artist's Tape to mask around the inner image, I used the Speckle Background stamp again to emboss the snow.  Then I applied a Wink of Stella to the frame for some shimmer, added a brad to the corner, and popped it up for some dimension.

Along the right side of my card I also embossed some "snow" with the So Splattered Cling Mounted Rubber Stamp. The finishing piece was a sprig of holly, which I've had in my stash for awhile now.

I hope you're inspired to get started on your holiday cards, as stamping is such a great way to make multiple cards! Thanks for looking!
