Music

Hello one last time, Red Rubber Designs fans! I am sad to say that this is my last post here on the Red Rubber Designs blog, and I want to say a HUGE "Thank You" to Pam and all the gals on this amazing design team for a wonderful time the last 6 months! I have enjoyed every moment I've spent creating with these fabulous rubber stamps and getting to know these beautiful women. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

Now, I have one last card to share with you all. I decided to go with one of my favorite stamps from the Red Rubber Designs store--Music Washes. I LOVE the vintage feel of this large stamps, and I adore the fact that it is so big! Take a peek...

I stamped Music Washes onto some polka dotted patterned paper, then fussy cut it out, matted it on some black glitter paper, and colored in portions of the image with glitter gel pen. Isn't this little piano player a doll?!

I added a large handmade flower (made by my friend Cohenna) and two smaller paper flowers to the side of the image. A few fake leaves, glitter dots, rhinestones, and enamel dots added more sparkle, shine, and texture to the card.

All of these elements were added to a card base that was prepped with some printed music patterned paper, faux stitching, and satin ribbon. I think this turned out so prettily, and I hope you agree! I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!

That's all for me today, friends! I hope you take some time today to craft and create. :) Thank you again to Pam for the opportunity to work with the beautiful products from the Red Rubber Designs store. And, one last time, HUGS and happy stamping to you all!

A big THANK YOU! to Mynn for all of the fabulous projects she's done for Red Rubber Designs. We hate to see her go! Please don't forget to leave some love for her!

Preparing for Happy Heart Day

Hello, everyone! We are drawing closer to the end of January and that means the next big card giving day is just around the corner!

Today I am featuring an image and sentiment from the Red Rubber Designs "I Heart You" stamp set. I love when I can stretch my stamping dollars and this set includes a variety of sentiments to fit several occasions, not just Valentines! Today I am featuring a Valentine and a Thank You note.

First up, a bright Valentine.

To create this fun look I sprinkled Brushos (Orange, Scarlet, Brilliant Red) on mixed media paper then spritzed with water. When the paper was dry I stamped the solid heart image from the I Heart You stamp set in Memento: Love Letter.  I then shaded the heart with Inktense pencils and water. The sentiment was stamped and then cut apart.

For my second card, I created a "thank you" note.

I heat embossed the image and sentiment with clear embossing powder. Next I sprinkled Brushos and spritzed with water and repeated this step several times to achieve a saturated look.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!!!
Angie

Many Thanks Shaker Card

Happy 2016!! I thought I'd ring in the new year with a new technique, and had a blast making my very first shaker card!

I also got to play with my new sprays misted with water onto white cardstock. Then I used white embossing powder with the So SplatteredSpeckle Background, and Sophisticated Sentiments stamps from Red Rubber Designs! The pewter swirls were embossed with the Butterfly Flourish stamp, and the rest were hand-stitched with metallic threads.

The flower was a leftover that I sprayed, adding gesso and glitter to the ends. I also used gesso and glitter on the ends of the background paper, and over the felt circle frame, which holds the glitter and a couple of snow covered hills that I made. For even more sparkle, I used Stickles over the chipboard heart and grey card base.

Many thanks for looking!
