Use your stamps to make your own Project Life Cards

Happy Monday....Lynda here to share with you some Project Life cards I made using my Red Rubber Designs stamps.  It would be super easy to grab some of the sentiment, text, or journaling stamps to create some great cards, but I wanted to really show you how fun it is to create one of a kind Project Life cards using image stamps.

For my first card I used the Want to Fly set.  I stamped the main image using black Memento ink.  The background was chalked and the the flowers and butterfly were colored using my Copics.  I then used a black marker to darken the edge.  There is room on the card to journal or just leave it like it is...you could also add a title to this card to tie it into your pictures.

For the second card I wanted to showoff this wonderful Lotsa Dotsa set.  This set is just fun, so I pulled out three colors of ink and stamped the three circles along the side of the card.  I then used the same inks along the edge of the card.  I added some rhinestones to the center of each circle for a little bling.  There is lots of room to journal on this card or just add a title...this one could also work turned on it's side on your layout!

I hope you'll pull out your stamps and think about how you can create some Project Life cards using them.

Happy crafting....Lynda

EDITED TO ADD:  Someone posted a comment asking what is a Project Life card:
A project life card is a card used for pocket style scrapbooking which is very popular right now.  If you do a search on Project Life you will find TONS of products available to use in this style of scrapbooking.  We are showing you how you can use your stamps to create your own cards!

  2. Love the idea of stamping up some project life cards. I may actually steal that idea for class at my local scrapbook store

  3. Really this idea is good use of the "tools" we have at hand and colors can be used to add emphasis to the photos.

  4. Nice cards, Lynda. I'm glad you explained Project Life, because I was puzzled. I don't do that kind of scrapbooking, but I know it is popular. I still do the old-fashioned 12x12 regular scrapbooks with photos, memorabilia and journaling.
