Here are my projects I created to honor a graduate:

The Congrats sentiment and frame around it are from the Label Lingo Showers, and Label Lingo Frames stamp sets.  The rose is from Charcoal Flowers Cling Mount Rubber Stamp Set .  I cut a square from black cardstock for the graduation cap and added a black brad and bookmark tassel to it.  The stars are punched out with a star punch.  The background blue card is embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Inks I used are Memento Tuxedo Black and Palette Prussian Blue.  I colored the rose with Copic markers (R24, R29, R89, YG93, YG95, YG97)

Look at the cute graduation card Kendra has created using the Savvy Savings and Build a Background Stamp Sets.

Challenge #121: More Precious Than Pearls

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirationals!
We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques to inspire and enable you to create art!

Inspirational #121 - More precious than pearls

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, May 28 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

Welcome to this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is More Precious than Pearls!  We want to see your stamping projects that incorporate pearls in some way.  They can be liquid, stickers, real...just use those pearls on your project. And remember, you must include at least one stamped image!

For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

Here is my project based on our theme this week:

I used the Want to Fly set for my project this week.  I stamped the images on the edges of the cardstock and then trimmed it so the colored card base would show around the edges.  I then watercolored the entire card.  I then added pearls to all the flower centers, the dots on the image and a the end of the larger swirls.  The images in this stamp set are perfect for adding pearls.

here is a closeup of some of the pearls... I also used one as the head on the butterfly...

Paula-Kay created this beautiful card using the Rose Collage set.  She incorporated this beautiful pearl trim onto her card.

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline!  We look forward to seeing what you create!!

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, May 21 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

Drea here hosting this weeks Inspirational, which is all about flowers!
For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

This week is all about those May Flowers coming into bloom! So lets see them on some projects. Just remember you have to have at least one stamped flower.

Here is my project for this challenge:

I started with some white cardstock, Distress Inks, and water, to make the diamond pattern in the background  using Designer Diamonds. I distressed the edges and around the inner diamond. Then I stamped the leaves and flowers using Place in my Heart stamp set, with some Palette Inks (Chartreuse, Landscape, Sunflower, Orangerie, and Bordeaux.)To make the larger diamond border going across bottom, I used a frame from Victorian Embellishments. Finally I added some ribbon, did some hand-stitching,  and used Celebrate Tags to stamp Happy Birthday.

Paula-Kay created this beautiful card using Dotty Flowers stamp set!

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline! We look forward to seeing what you create!!

Inspirational #119: Celebrate Friendship

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirationals!
We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques to inspire and enable you to create art!

Inspirational #119 - Celebrate Friendship

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, May 14 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

This is Lynda hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is all about Friendships!
For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

This week I want to see you celebrate friendships in your life through use of your stamps.  This can be an image colored to look like a special friend or sentiments that pay tribute to a special someone in your life.  I really want to be able to look at your project and see you celebrating your friendships.

Here is my project for this challenge:

For my card I used the Joyful notes and the Butterflies are free stamp sets.  I first stamped the main image onto white cardstock using Memento black ink.  I then colored it in with my Copic markers.  I colored her to look like one of my best friends.  I then stamped the sentiment onto white cardstock and colored it with a pattern similar to the bottom of the other image.  I then used a brown marker to edge both pieces.  I then created the pattern on the card base with scraps of pattern paper.

Kendra created this wonderful card using the Wonderful news and Gift of Friendship stamp sets:

Paula Kay created this beauty using the Thinking Sweet Thoughts stamp set:

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline!  We look forward to seeing what you create!!

Use your stamps to make your own Project Life Cards

Happy Monday....Lynda here to share with you some Project Life cards I made using my Red Rubber Designs stamps.  It would be super easy to grab some of the sentiment, text, or journaling stamps to create some great cards, but I wanted to really show you how fun it is to create one of a kind Project Life cards using image stamps.

For my first card I used the Want to Fly set.  I stamped the main image using black Memento ink.  The background was chalked and the the flowers and butterfly were colored using my Copics.  I then used a black marker to darken the edge.  There is room on the card to journal or just leave it like it is...you could also add a title to this card to tie it into your pictures.

For the second card I wanted to showoff this wonderful Lotsa Dotsa set.  This set is just fun, so I pulled out three colors of ink and stamped the three circles along the side of the card.  I then used the same inks along the edge of the card.  I added some rhinestones to the center of each circle for a little bling.  There is lots of room to journal on this card or just add a title...this one could also work turned on it's side on your layout!

I hope you'll pull out your stamps and think about how you can create some Project Life cards using them.

Happy crafting....Lynda

EDITED TO ADD:  Someone posted a comment asking what is a Project Life card:
A project life card is a card used for pocket style scrapbooking which is very popular right now.  If you do a search on Project Life you will find TONS of products available to use in this style of scrapbooking.  We are showing you how you can use your stamps to create your own cards!

Inspirational #118: Mom

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirationals!
We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques to inspire and enable you to create art!

Inspirational #118 - Mom

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, May 7 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

This is Kendra hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is all about Mom!
For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

With Mother's Day around the corner, lets see those projects for mom!
What makes you think of your mom....Flowers? Birds?

One requirement is….we need to see a "Mom", "Mother" or "Mother's Day" sentiment on project.

Here's a card I created with my mom in mind:
I just LOVE the Peony image from the Lovely Peony set!
I really had a lot of fun coloring it!
The "You make life so beautiful." is also from the set.  The "Happy Mother's Day" sentiment is from the Trendy Greetings set.

Paula-Kay created this fun card:
She used the fun Be Lifted set for the kites.  And the sentiment is from the Contemporary Greetings set.

Mary Anne created this beautiful card:
She used the Mother's Face Background along with the Lovely Peony set!

Happy Stamping!

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline!  We look forward to seeing what you create!!
