Inspirational #117 - Postage Due

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirational!

We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques o inspire and enable you to create art!

Today's Inspirational is #117: Postage Due
Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, April 30th, at 11:59 PM U.S. Central Time

This is Mary Anne, your hostess this week.  Our theme is Postage Due.  We want you to create a stamped card or project that uses something to do with mail.  This could mean postage canceled stamps, postage stamps, postcard wording, or envelopes.   For complete details for entering our Inspirationals go HERE

As an example I crated this card featuring True Beauty Rubber Stamp Set and the Fanciful Vintage Rubber Stamp Set from Red Rubber Designs.  I chose a pale turquoise design paper and then cut it into the shape of an envelope.  After this I over stamped the top and bottom flaps with the word "postcard" from the Fanciful Vintage set and on the two side flaps I stamped a cancelled postage mark also from the Fanciful Vintage set.  For the collage on top I used three of the four butterfly stamps from the True Beauty set and colored them with colored pencils.  I cut them out and popped them onto bits of card stock that I cut with a postage edged scissors.

Paula-Kay created this beautiful inspirational using a purple and teal color scheme.  She also using the Fanciful Vintage Stamp Set and the Fly Fairy Stamp Set

Andrea Slee has this lovely Congratulations card and she used quite a few stamp sets; Fanciful Vintage, Vintage Background, Savvy Sayings, Alpha Hip, I Heart You, Vintage Script, Beauty of a Woman, and Background Soup

Lynda created this project using the Butterfly Postage set:

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post before the deadline.

Inspirational #116: Back to Nature

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirationals!

We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques to inspire and enable you to create art!

Inspirational #116:  Back to Nature

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, April 23 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

Drea here hosting another fun challenge! This week is all about getting back to nature. With the weather so nice right now, it's perfect for a hike, getting dirty in your garden, or just smelling the roses.

For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

Use any type of stamp found in nature!

I came up with this card that I made with lots of water distressing, inking, misting, layering, and of course stamping. I stamped the background trees onto kraft cardstock using Tree Silhouettes and Mountain Scenery with Palette Inks (Jardin Moss and Burnt Sienna).

Then I used the same Burnt Sienna ink to stamp the bear image using Something Marvelous. I colored it in with Distress inks and water color pencils.

Paula-Kay created this gorgeous card using Be fabulous and For Everything stamp sets. Such beautiful color and detail!

I can't wait to see how you get back to nature! Happy Stamping!

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline! We look forward to seeing what you create!!

Inspirational #115: Masculine Birthday

Welcome to Red Rubber Inspirationals!
We are excited to bring you a weekly challenge that will focus on stamping and related techniques to inspire and enable you to create art!

Inspirational #115 - Masculine Birthday

Deadline for submitting your projects is Wednesday, April 16 at 11:59 PM US Central time.

This is Lynda hosting this week's Inspirational!  Our theme this week is all about creating a Masculine Birthday project using your stamps!  Time to celebrate the men in your life with a birthday themed project showcasing your stamps.  For complete Inspirational Rules, please read them here.

Using your stamps create a Masculine birthday project!

For my project I first stamped the Ship collage image onto white cardstock.  I then colored the image using my Copics and chalk.  I then mounted the image onto coordinating cardstock.  I then mounted the colored image onto my card that I covered with this wonderful pattern paper, a strip of a coordinating cardstock, strip of burlap paper, and a few button.

for the card inside I stamped the sentiment from the Label lingo Friends set onto white cardstock.  It then mounted it onto coordinating colored cardstock and more burlap paper.

Here's some more inspiration for you:
Kendra created this wonderful card using images from the Sophisticated Sentiments and the Tree Silhouettes set.

Mary Anne created this fabulous beauty using the Mountain Scenery stamp set.

Paula-Kay created this wonderful project featuring images from the Eyes to See and Masterpiece stamp sets.

Paula-Kay also created this wonderful card using the Hey Life and Always be Fabulous stamp sets.

Let's see what masculine birthday projects you can create!
Happy Stamping!

I hope you are inspired by my Inspirational this week and link up a newly created project to this post by the deadline!  We look forward to seeing what you create!!
